Android News: NVIDIA’s GRID game streaming service now outputs full 1080p HD in 60 fps

nvidia_shieldNVIDIA has just announced a new milestone for their GRID streaming service; full HD game streaming at 60 frames per second. The latest SHIELD Hub beta incorporates the higher resolution feature, and it’s expected to roll out to all devices by the end of May.

This bumps the streaming resolution up from 720p to a full 1080p, marking the first time we’ve seen this from a game streaming service. Streaming interactive content, like video games, has always been a little more tricky than beaming HD movies and TV shows, but NVIDIA has been hard at work making it a reality. There are 35 games in the library of GRID games including the likes of Batman Arkham Origins, Devil May Cry 4, and the newest Dirt 3, and it’s available exclusively on NVIDIA’s SHIELD devices.

Have any of you had any experience with one of NVIDIA’s handheld Android gaming machines?
