Android News:

samsung_galaxy_s_6_edge_022715_leak_1 Samsung has finally announced their second Edge device, the Galaxy S 6 Edge. Like the previous Galaxy Note Edge, it features a curved screen across the side of the device. This time around, though, the screen wraps around both edges of the phone instead of just one side.

Hardware on the Edge is nearly identical to the Galaxy S 6 with an high-powered Exynos processor, 3 GB of RAM, and a 2600 mAh battery. Internal storage options start at 32 GB and run up to 128 GB, since it features no expandable memory, like the regular S 6.

You’ll still get a crazy high resolution 2k screen, a tap-enabled fingerprint scanner, and a 16 megapixel camera with OIS similar to what’s on the Note 4. Android 5.0.2 is the software out of the box enhanced with Samsung’s usual (but supposedly slimmed down) TouchWiz. Many of those TouchWiz features will probably integrate with the Edge sides of the device.

All of Samsung’s new features like wireless charging, Samsung Pay, and improved Samsung Knox, will be on board with the S 6 Edge, and they’ll be detailed soon. As a bonus, the S 6 Edge will come in an exclusive emerald green color.

No word on exact pricing or availability just yet, but I’d imagine we’ll see a limited run of these devices like the Note Edge.

Are you excited for either device? Is the wireless charging and premium device enough to make up for the lack of expandable storage and removable battery?
