Android News: U.S. Cellular taking pre-orders of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge tomorrow

U.S. Cellular has just announced that it will start taking pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge starting tomorrow i.e. March 27. The carrier has currently announced the pricing and availability of only the 32 and 64GB models, with no sight of the 128GB variants yet.


This comes after T-Mobile and AT&T announced its intentions to start taking pre-orders tomorrow while Verizon will officially start pre-orders for Samsung’s latest flagship starting April 1.


U.S. Cellular has given away the contract pricing of the smartphone, but also mentioned that the device will be available through their $0 down monthly installment plans, with no specifics available as of now.


The contract pricing set by the carrier are as follows:



  • Galaxy S6 (32GB) – $199

  • Galaxy S6 (64GB) – $299

  • Galaxy S6 Edge (32GB) – $299

  • Galaxy S6 Edge (64GB) – $399

CHICAGO, IL, Mar 26, 2015 (Marketwired via COMTEX) — U.S. Cellular USM, -0.59%today announced that it is starting its presale for the Samsung Galaxy S 6 and Galaxy S 6 edge in stores and at uscellular.com/gs6 tomorrow, and they will be available in stores and online on April 10. U.S. Cellular will offer both devices in White Pearl and Black Sapphire with 32 or 64 GB of internal memory,(1) and qualified customers will be able to get them for $0 down using U.S. Cellular’s installment pricing. The 32GB Galaxy S 6 will also be available for $199 with a two-year agreement, and the 32GB Galaxy S 6 edge, the world’s first dual-edge smartphone, will be available for $299 with a two-year agreement. In addition, the 64GB Galaxy S 6 will be $299, and the 64GB Galaxy S 6 edge will be $399.
